A partner at Drumjam, Vasundhara Das is a well-known singer, songwriter, composer, actress, speaker and drum circle facilitator. She has starred in several films in various languages, and has worked extensively as a playback singer in Bollywood, as well as in South Indian regional language films.
Trained from an early age, with a background in Hindustani classical music, Vasundhara has collaborated on numerous non-film projects with various well-known musicians. She also performs live on stage, either with her band or solo.
Vasundhara has been involved with DRUMJAM since its inception. In addition to her extensive training and experience as a musician, she has been trained in Drum Circle Facilitation by none other than Arthur Hull, the founder of the worldwide Drum Circle Movement. She has also trained with Christine Stevens as a HealthRhythms Facilitator and Kalani Das as an Orff Music Facilitator.
Vasundhara is a Certified Trainer for Arthur Hull’s Village Music Circles Global in India in order to train and empower others with skills of drum circle facilitation. She is part of an elite team of 14 International Trainers who have been entrusted to take Arthur Hull’s vision, mission and legacy forward.
Over the last few years, she, along with her team has been facilitating Drumjams for many varied groups of people such as Corporate, Community, Schools & Colleges. With experiential learning as the core intent, her team facilitates programs that expose participants not only to an interesting mix of elements of music like rhythm, melody and harmony, but also encourage creativity using related artistic elements like movement and storytelling, in a format that is very interactive and engaging.
