DRUMJAM Workshops / Courses

  1. What are the workshops and courses DRUMJAM offers?

    DRUMJAM currently offers:

    • A Free Djembe Workshop which is held on the third Sunday of every month from 3pm to 4pm at Bayalu, Rangoli Metro Art Center, MG Road, Bangalore
    • Basic Djembe Course which is a 10 week long course where participants learn basic skills in Djembe playing
  2. What is the difference between the workshop and the course?

    The difference between the workshop and the course is:

    • The workshop is held every month prior to every Community Drumjam at Rangoli Metro Art Center from 3pm to 4pm. It is a free workshop and imparts very basic skills in Djembe playing to a transitionary audience each month.
    • The Basic Djembe Course is a 10 week long course held on Sunday mornings from 9:30am to 11:30am at Rangasthala, Rangoli Metro Arts Center, MG Road, Bangalore. The course fee is Rs5,725/-. Participants need to own a djembe so that they can practice at their leisure. A certificate of participation is given at the end of the course.
  3. Will there be any certificate given to participants?

    There is no certificate given for participants of the monthly free workshops. The participants of the 10-week Djembe Courses will receive certificates of participation after satisfactorily completing the courses.
